March is Women's History Month
2012 Theme:
Women's Education - Women's Empowerment
The Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus and the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus
Foundation salute the past women legislators who have helped to pave the way for
women in Louisiana. We thank them for their sacrifice, service and dedication
to the great state of Louisiana and for leaving a legacy of strength, influence
and tremendous accomplishments.
We encourage you to remember and honor a special woman in your life today in honor
of Women's History Month.

About This Year's Theme
Although women now outnumber men in American colleges nationwide, the reversal of
the gender gap is a very recent phenomenon. The fight to learn was a valiant struggle
waged by many tenacious women-across years and across cultures-in our country.
