Strawberry Peak (6K+ feet) has an enjoyable 3d class route along its west ridge. You can ascend to the start of the route via the Colby Canyon trailhead right off Angeles Crest Highway. My Colby Canyon trailhead page on SummitPost.org <http://summitpost.org/> could provide directions.
