There's a new Sheriff..err..Baron in town!
First I'd like to say a big "Thank you" to Lord Kairos for holding down the
fort for the last year and a half.  He is now graciously stepping into the
office of Champion, Lady Faye is our Regent for another term, and Foremek
is stepping into the office of Guildmaster of Reeves.  So feel free to
pester him with your rules related questions and scenarios.  Even if you
know the answer, bug him anyway.  It will keep him on his toes.

One of my goals for the next 6 months is to set forth a loose calendar as
to what battlegames we're going to have on a given Saturday.  This will
hopefully allow you to plan out your strategy or gear loadout and have
something to look forward to (and hopefully get excited about).  Also, if
you show up and you just REALLY want to play a certain battlegame, I'm glad
to accomodate.  Similarly, if you had a game you wanted to run - let me
know and we'll hammer out the details.

Upcoming promotions:
Aside from the usual bonus credit to travel to other lands and experience
Amtgard in different places, we have the Food Fight coming up where you
will have the opportunity to earn/buy credits towards the class of your
choice while helping the lesser fortunate.  Also, if you bring a newbie,
you both will get an extra credit on that new person's 3rd attendance.
Amtgard is more fun when there are more people, so please make it a point
to find some new blood and bring them along.

Also, there will be a Archery tournament, wherein the prize is a bow and a
couple arrows (note: The prize will go to the highest placing participant
who doesn't already have a bow).  Date is to be announced.

This week, Lord Kairos has a V8 battlegame planned, so make sure to follow
up on the rule changes (http://www.warlordsports.com/
Assets/Gallery/MF_97_9_1.pdf).  Find your favorite class and brush up on
the rules.  We would like feedback to present to the V8 committee (good and
bad feedback), so dont be shy about your opinions.

I know that's a big wall of text, but at least it was hopefully
