[SSD Populace] Important Open House Info

We're still asking for volunteers in the upcoming Cal Poly open house, and
we need people to volunteer to help us run our booth. It's the 20th of
April. If you have the time to help run the booth please do so, as it is
rather boring to sit there running it for the whole club showcase which goes
from 8am to 5pm. What's more than just helping us alleviate the boredom of
desk duty you'll also be helping us bring in new players that we've been
sorely lacking the past month or so. For those willing to help we are
putting out an offer of double credits for the day. Send us a message if
you're willing to help.

Volunteers: Please come dressed in garb. Loaner garb will be available if
you do not have garb.

Parking Information: INNER CAMPUS IS CLOSED TO PARKING ON SATURDAY FROM 8 AM
TO 5 PM! I have heard there parking might be available in the more remote
parking lots. I am confirming which lots will be open and if the local
transit buses will still be going to campus on that Saturday. I should have
an answer by Monday.

Booth Location (pg 1 of attachment): A4-A5 (we are found near the edge of
Dexter Lawn, close to the business building). Refer to the photo attachment
for where we are.

Finding Us (use "map to campus" attachment): Take Foothill towards campus,
turn Left on California, Turn Right on Campus Way which then becomes Cuesta
Avenue. Follow until the road ends, then walk up the sidewalk and you will
come upon a lawn. We are found to your right.

 

Friday April 19th:

4:30-6pm: I check us in at Dexter Lawn to get our Permit to Operate and a 20
minute unloading pass for Saturday

 

Saturday April 20th:

Dawn-8:00 am Set up our booth. Vehicles must be removed from inner campus by
8am ($200 fine and towing)

 

8:30-10am: Booths must be staffed by this time (to guard our gear). Booths
will be checked by Open House Committee, UPD, and Campus Health Inspectors
to make sure we follow the rules

 

10:30am Booth operation begins after Opening Ceremonies conclude (the flag
ceremony that will take place on Dexter Lawn)

 

No wandering vendors/advertising except within the premises of our 10 x 10
lots ($200 fine and possible expulsion from Open House)

 

We could win free admission to next year's Open House if our booth looks
awesome. Several members of the Open House Committee will be walking around
and judging booths during the event. Winners announced on Dexter Lawn at
2:30 pm.

 

5:00pm Once UPD and Open House Committee say so, we can start taking down
our booth. Vehicles may reenter campus at this time.

Booth's must be cleared before noon April 21st
