I know I'm the last to comment on this great news but looks like we've got a candidate in District E...no campaign links yet, but I'll keep you informed. I think Austin's pro business and pro education backgrounds are real pluses...



State Representative Austin Badon hopes to fill vacant council seat

State representative Austin Badon tells FOX 8 he will run for Jon Johnson's vacant council seat.
It's not the first time he tried to win the District E-post.
In February 2010, Badon actually got more votes than Jon Johnson.
Badon got 39-percent to Johnson's 30-percent.
But in the March runoff, Johnson won with 53-percent of the vote.
A special election will be held November 6th.
