Thirty-six PwC partners and staff will volunteer in classrooms at Warren Easton Charter High School as part of PwC's national Summer of Community Service initiative.  The majority of the PwC volunteers will be from the New Orleans office, with a handful visiting from markets across the country.  The event builds on a four-year relationship with Warren Easton, generated from PwC's broader commitment to youth education and leadership development.
 
On August 17, the PwC team will connect with more than 600 students, focusing on two areas of development:
 
·            Increasing financial literacy by teaching students the basics of budget management.
·            Leading a career planning workshop providing students with a foundation of knowledge to begin thinking about different career paths and educational opportunities.
 
In addition to the financial literacy and career planning workshops, the PwC team will spend the afternoon working on a variety of hands-on projects on and around the school grounds.
 
There will be numerous photo, video and interview opportunities.
 
Since 2007, PwC has provided support to Warren Easton, helping to restore this remarkable school after Hurricane Katrina. Many local PwC staff members volunteer at the school regularly.
