Earlier today I wrote about budget rumors:
..sidney torres' city trash contract is history; the two other contractors 
will stay...
nagin will justify his cuts on a report by greg rigamer about the inflated 
number of homes
in new orleans...but there will still be no audit of the sanitation 
department..and what if...nagin
vetos the entire criminal justice budget?...aren't we the most violent city 
in America? cute.
oh and nagin is pissed off that people think he's responsible for no recovery 
in new orleans, so
he's lashing out. ahhhh...if the shoe fits, ray, wear it.

Mr. Rigamer corrected me as follows:
Cheron – I received your email about the SDT contract and the Mayor – I have 
not used the term “inflated” in any correspondence or report.  The range of 
households or service locations in each area is within an expected range – I 
know that you try to broadcast accurate info should I thought that you should 
know.

I apologize to Mr. Rigamer as I know he operates a very successful consulting 
firm. I still maintain that Mr. Nagin is hiding behind consultant reports, 
not audits, to avoid scrutiny of municipal operations, like the sanitation 
department.
