Not a typical use case.....and dont buy one just for hackrf as theres
better options but I've gotten everything working on both the HP 14" x86_64
chromebook and the samsung ARM Gen 1 11" chromebook using crouton to run
ubuntu in a chroot then using the build-gnuradio script. Pretty sure I had
to modify the arm one to work around some packages that weren't present.
However both do have some issues keeping up with a wideband fm demod
without some stuttering. However for narrow band stuff they are fine. So if
anyone wants to do that I can probably help.

I'd imagine anything with an embedded intel video chipset will work out of
the box. It would be cool to get confirmation from the Gentoo folk. I know
when I installed it on a box with a discrete Nvidia card I had to emerge
the Nvidia driver before the display worked. This will probably be a pretty
big hangup if your not comfortable in linux. Emerge isn't exactly
intuitive. I'd say trying to stick with ubuntu or a derivitive will result
in a lot less headache than using Gentoo or its derivitives for beginners.
