CMC Photo Contest

 

By popular demand, the CMC Photo Contest is back!  

 

There are five key criteria for entering a photo into the Contest:

1.      The entrant be a Member of the CMC 

2.      All Members are eligible.even Board Members

3.	The photo was taken by the entrant
4.	The photo was taken during the calendar year of 2016 - 2017
5.	Photo's be of CMC events or similar type of personal outings (family
vacations into the wildness, yes.  Family vacations to Disneyland, no.)

Since this is a photo contest, the emphasis on judging will be on the
overall quality of the photo. While there are no categories, the type of
photo's that we are interested in seeing are:

-       Mountain Scenery

-       Wildlife

-       Portraits of CMC Members

-       Climbing/Hiking Action

 

The prizes are as follows:

  1st Place: $50.00 REI Gift Certificate

  2nd Place: $30.00 REI Gift Certificate

 3rd Place: $20.00 REI Gift Certificate

 

Voting of the photos is the responsibility of the Board of Directors. The
photos will be labeled anonymously to protect against bias, and they will
not be eligible to vote for their own photos. 

 

The announcement will be disclosed in the summer 2017 issue of the CMC
Newsletter. Additionally, the best of the rest of the photos will be
exhibited in a photo essay entitled "CMC 2016 - 2017; A Photo Essay."
