.         CMC Member - Tom Ritchie will present a program on the attempt by
a CMC team to climb Mt. Bona.  At 16,421' it is the highest peak in the
Wrangell/St. Elias National Park in Alaska.  Mt. Bona is located in the
nation's largest national park, which also boasts that more than a third of
the park is permanently encrusted in snow and ice. This remote Alaskan
region, with a multitude of peaks between 14,000' and 16,000', is visited by
few climbers. Enjoy an Alaskan adventure with CMC members Dave Chapman, Ryan
Delany, Greg Jacobus, Greg Loveland, Jan Lorenzen, Trang Tran, Joe White,
and Tom as they are deposited on the Klutlan Glacier among pristine
glaciated peaks in possibly the most beautiful mountainous region in the
United States. A chance to vicariously share some bad weather - this is
Alaska - and pick up some tips on self guided expeditions.
