2024-25 School Performance Scores:

Audubon Schools Achieves Third Consecutive Year of Top Gains Honors and Continues Networkwide Academic Excellence

NEW ORLEANS — Audubon Schools is celebrating another year of exceptional academic performance, as the Louisiana Department of Education released the 2024–25 School Performance Scores (SPS). Chief Executive Officer Steven Corbett announced that both Audubon Charter Uptown and Audubon Charter Gentilly have once again demonstrated significant strength, growth, and consistency across key academic measures.

Audubon Uptown earned an “A” letter grade with a 94 SPS, continuing its strong record of academic achievement. Audubon Gentilly earned a “C” letter grade with a 72.2 SPS, marking continued growth and progress for the school.

For the third consecutive year, both Audubon Uptown and Audubon Gentilly have been named Top Gains Honorees by the Louisiana Department of Education. This prestigious designation is awarded only to schools demonstrating the highest levels of year-over-year student academic progress statewide. Both campuses earned an “A” letter grade in Academic Progress, reaffirming the effectiveness of the network’s instructional practices, targeted student supports, and commitment to continuous improvement.

“Top Gains is one of the most meaningful recognitions a school can earn, because it reflects real student growth—year after year,” said CEO Corbett. “For our schools to earn this honor three years in a row speaks to the exceptional work of our teachers and the resilience of our students. This accomplishment places Audubon Schools among the most consistently high-growth schools in the city and the state.”

Audubon Schools is the only multi-school charter network in New Orleans where every school in the network has received the Top Gains designation for three straight years—an exceptional marker of consistency and quality across campuses.

In addition to Top Gains, Audubon Uptown earned the state’s Opportunity Honoree designation, awarded only to schools performing in the 90th percentile or higher statewide in their academic success among economically disadvantaged students, students with disabilities, or English Learners. This recognition affirms Audubon’s commitment to ensuring that all students—including those historically underserved—are positioned to thrive.

“These results reflect far more than test scores,” said Corbett. “They show the strength, stability, and shared commitment of our entire Audubon community—our teachers, students, staff, and families. We are proud of what we have achieved together, and we are even more excited about the continued growth ahead.”
