Greater New Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools Admissions Fair Set for November 12
Learn more about 25+ public charter schools in one day, in one place!

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Greater New Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools (GNOCCS) will host its inaugural Charter School Admissions Fair on Wednesday, November 12, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hynes Charter School, 990 Harrison Ave. in Lakeview (in the gym-entrance on French St in rear of campus).

The free, in-person event offers families a one-stop shop for school choice, bringing together over 25 public charter schools from Orleans and Jefferson Parishes, as well as Type II charter schools serving statewide and/or multi-parish jurisdictions, said GNOCCS Executive Director Dr. Sean Wilson. Registration is open now at www.gnocollaborative.com, but walk-ins are welcome.

“Staff and administrators will share information about the benefits of their charter schools,” said Dr. Wilson. “This event is a great opportunity for families to learn firsthand what makes each school unique and to find the best fit for their child.”

Participating schools include: Audubon Charter Schools (Uptown, Gentilly and Baton Rouge), Benjamin Franklin Elementary/Middle School, Discovery Schools (Kenner Discovery, Dr. John Ochsner Discovery, Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery and Discovery Flex), Einstein Charter Schools (Einstein Charter Village de l’Est, Sherwood Forest Elementary, Einstein Charter Middle at Sarah T. Reed and  Einstein Charter High at Sarah T. Reed), Hynes Charter Schools (Lakeview, UNO and Parkview), International School of Louisiana (St. Roch, Uptown and Westbank), L.B. Landry High School, Martin Behrman Charter School, Morris Jeff Community School, New Orleans Charter Science and Mathematics High School (Sci High), The Willow School, Warren Easton High School and Young Audiences Charter Schools (Westbank: Little YACS,  Kate Middleton and Burmaster Campus and Uptown: Lawrence D. Crocker).

The event, presented by the Greater New Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools (GNOCCS), provides prospective families with direct access to school representatives, academic programs, and admissions information for the 2025–26 school year.

About the Greater New Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools

The Greater New Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools (GNOCCS) is a network of community-based public charter schools dedicated to rebuilding and reinvigorating the metropolitan area through quality education and parental choice. As some of the first schools to reopen after Hurricane Katrina, the founding members of GNOCCS helped clear the path for the emergence of independent public charters locally and regionally.

GNOCCS does not discriminate in the rendering of services to, or in the employment of, individuals because of race, color, religion, sex, gender, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected basis. GNOCCS operates as the “DBA” of the Louisiana Charter School Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation registered in Louisiana.
