Erin Cessna
teaching grades K-5th
Erin Cessna is an actor and educator from New Orleans. She holds a BFA from Tulane and an MFA in acting from the University of Connecticut. And while her background is primarily in performing, these days she spends her week teaching earth science to third and fourth graders through outdoor immersive programming with the non-profit T.R.E.E.. As a theatre educator, she organized and taught the Shakespeare For All Workshop at The Actor's Apothecary last fall, which focused on creating grounded characters from heightened language. She has also worked with Fish in a Tree, a community center dedicated to serving the neurodiverse community of New Orleans, teaching youth improv as part of their pilot summer theatre camp. Erin made her CCS debut as a performer last December in A Christmas Carol.
