  Operation Spark Graduates New Cohort of Software Engineers at their Marigny-Bywater Training Center on Thursday, January 26th, 5:30pm Team to present original grad thesis app:HoleDat is a community-driven web app that helps users report and track potholes in their area
  WHAT:       Operation Spark, a non-profit coding bootcamp dedicated to changing lives by advancing technology skills for today’s workplace, will hold an in-person graduation showcase for its Advanced IBC (Industry Based Credential) certified students. The public is invited to attend and learn more about the program. Register online at: https://opsparkjan2023.eventbrite.com,  Graduates will demonstrate a unique new app and take questions from the audience.
Graduates will present their original thesis application: HoleDat, a community-driven web app that helps users report and track potholes in their area. With HoleDat, users can create Pothole Profiles that include detailed information and photos of potholes, which can then be accessed by other users and local authorities. By using HoleDat, users can help improve the safety and condition of roads in their community and avoid costly damages to their vehicles. HoleDat is the ultimate tool for keeping your community's roads smooth and safe.
The ceremony will be held in Operation Spark’s newly renovated courtyard, featuring outdoor classrooms and event space.  The building also boasts new indoor classrooms for adult and high school programs, open space for team programming and coding events, offices, a kitchenette, and conference room. WHY:              The graduates will present their thesis project - an app they have developed from beginning to end. Operation Spark will be showcasing its courtyard to the public.                   The current graduating class of five students now hold Advanced Industry-Based Credentials in the Fundamentals of Javascript, Functional Programming, and Web Development.  Software development is the fastest-growing job market in Louisiana. Over the past six years, Operation Spark has trained and placed nearly 300 graduates in high-paying technology jobs.
