    Contact:  Heather Harper (504) 897-6110 or hharper at h2nola.net   New Orleans Charter Science & Mathematics High School “Sci High” to hold Open House on January 23   New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School “Sci High” will hold an Open House for parents and prospective students on Thursday, January 23 from 5:00 p.m.-7 p.m. at its campus at 5625 Loyola Ave. in Uptown New Orleans. Sci High offers students cutting-edge and industry-focused STEM electives. Parents and students are invited to learn more about Sci High, tour the campus and meet the faculty and staff.    Sci High will be moving to a new, $35 million state-of-the-art campus in the biomedical corridor in Mid-City in the Fall of 2021.  Sci High’s new building will be specially designed with a number of classrooms unique to the school’s curriculum. The building will have engineering classrooms, biomedical laboratories, computer centers, fabrication studios, and an outdoor construction area for larger projects.  Students have access to Advanced Placement
(AP) classes, paid summer internships, and robotics courses. Sci High is the
only public school in New Orleans to offer all three industry pathways of
the Project Lead the Way courses: Engineering, Biomedical Science, and Computer Science, and boasts a new Makerspace for student exploration.
 Sci High features small class sizes in an encouraging, respectful atmosphere in an academically rigorous public school setting. Sci High dedicates many resources to supporting the whole child, through counseling support, a health clinic, tutoring and enrichment programs, and student-centered initiatives and training.
