EinsteinVillage De l'Est School is only school in Louisiana to be recognizedas a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School 2018

EinsteinCharter School announced today that its Village De l'Est (VDLE) PK-5 school hasbeen recognized as a Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School forproviding broad access to transformative learning opportunities for studentsthrough PLTW Launch™. It is one of just 340 schools across the U.S. to receivethis honor and the only school in the state of Louisiana. 

Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a nonprofit organization that provides atransformative learning experience for K-12 students and teachers across theU.S. PLTW empowers students to develop in-demand, transportable knowledgeand skills through pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedicalscience. PLTW’s teacher training and resources support teachers as they engagetheir students in real-world learning.

ThePLTW Distinguished School recognition honors schools committed to increasingstudent access, engagement, and achievement in their PLTW programs. PLTW is anonprofit organization that serves millions of K-12 students and teachers inover 10,500 schools across the U.S.

In Louisiana,Einstein has been recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education as a “TopGains” and “High Performing, High Poverty” school and by the Orleans ParishSchool Board as a “Top Performing” school.
