Morris Jeff to Host 9thAnnual Community Gala on October 12 
 
Maria A. Newman Carrere & RichardPerque, co-chairs, and the Gala Committee are committed to raising $90,000 in support of Morris Jeff Community School’s rigorous academics grounded in diversity & inclusion.
 
Who:          Morris Jeff Community School has been recognized nationally as a model forpublic education. The school was intentionally designed by thecommunity in post-Katrina New Orleans and reflects the racial, ethnic, andsocioeconomic diversity of the New Orleans. By celebrating diversity andinclusion and embracing a rigorous International Baccalaureate curriculum, MorrisJeff serves nearly 900 children in grades PreK-9 and is a 2017 Top 10 HighestPerforming School in New Orleans according to The Times-Picayune.  
 
What:         9th Annual Community Gala to benefitMorris Jeff Community School where guests will enjoy an evening ofinternationally-inspired food & beverage pairings, music, and silentauction.
 
When:        Thursday October 12th, 6PM (Patron Party); 7PM (Gala & Silent Auction)
 
Where:       Morris Jeff Community School, 211 S. Lopez Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 
 
Why:          All proceeds benefit MorrisJeff Community School, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School thatoffers an unparalleled education enriched by world languages, visual andcultural arts, and music instruction.  
 
How: 
       Patron Party tickets are $125. PatronParty attendees will be able to bid on exclusive silent auction items and be treatedto food and beverage by Mondo and Second Line Brewing.  General admission tickets are $60 per person,and includes entertainment, food, drinks, and silent auction.  Silent auction boasts 4-Day Park Hopper Passesto Disney World, jewelry by Mignon Faget and Mimosa, a $300 Private ShoppingParty to Vineyard Vines, Cocktail Class for 6 people at the New Orleans DrinkLab, Famous "Be Nice of Leave" Dr. Bob Painting and many more uniqueitems and experiences!

 About Morris Jeff Community School
MorrisJeff Community School opened in the fall of 2010 as a Type 5 open-access publiccharter school.  Morris Jeff serves 890 students in grades PreK-9 at itsbeautiful new campus in Mid-City and will grow to a full Pre-K through 12th-gradeschool.  It is currently the only elementary school in Orleans Parish thatis authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering thePrimary Years Programme (PYP), and is a candidate school for the Middle YearsProgramme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
