Certified teachers and instructionalsupport professionals seeking employment in a charter school within the GreaterNew Orleans area are invited to attend the 11th annual free New Orleans CharterSchools Teacher Fair, Saturday, March 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hynes CharterSchool Gym, 990 Harrison Ave., New Orleans, LA.
“Full and part-time positions are availablefor certified teachers and those who will be certified by May, 2017,” said GreaterNew Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools President Latoye Brown.
Interested teachers are encouraged to pre-registeronline at www.gnocollaborative.com by March 19.Candidates who pre-register by March 19 will have exclusive access to hiringschools for the first hour of the event, from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., but arerequired to bring a copy of their Event Brite ticket for early admission. Additionally,pre-registrants will have the option to have their resumes posted for allcharter school leaders to review on the GNOCCS website.
Walk-ins are welcome from 10 a.m. – 1p.m. and should bring sufficient printed copies of their resumes.
“Principals and administrators willconduct on-site screening interviews at the Teacher Fair and share informationabout the benefits of working at their charter schools,” said GNOCCS DirectorDr. Ken Ducote. “Teachers and aspiring teachers should bring multiple copies oftheir resumes, teaching certificates, references and any other relevantinformation for immediate consideration.”
The fair is sponsored by the GNOCCSwith support from The Reily Foundation, the School Leadership Center (SLC) ofGreater New Orleans, and the Pro Bono Publico Foundation.
Charter schools from across Louisianaare invited to participate and interview candidates at this free event. Thereis room for nearly 60 schools to participate, but tables must be reserved assoon as possible since space is limited.
Regularly updated charter school vacancylistings are available online at www.gnocollaborative.com. The websitehas recently been updated, so candidates who have previously posted theirresumes must re-post them on the new site.
