6th Annual “An Edible Evening” to Benefit
Edible Schoolyard New Orleans Students, Programs
 
(NEW ORLEANS)—On March 26, 2015, Edible Schoolyard New Orleans(ESYNOLA) presents its sixth-annual garden party and fundraiser, AnEdible Evening, which supports five school gardens and two teachingkitchens at five New Orleans charter schools operated by FirstLine Schools. AnEdible Evening will be held at a new location, the Dreamkeeper Garden,one of the five gardens managed by ESYNOLA, at Langston Hughes Academy, 3519Trafalgar Street, New Orleans. The city’s favorite garden party under the stars will be heldfrom 7:00 p.m. – 9:00pm, following a Patron Party brought to you by DickieBrennan’s Steakhouse and Tableau, at 6:00 p.m.
MSQUARED is sponsoring our second annual Late Wave Party, featuring DJBrice Nice, to encourage night owls and young professionals to come out andenjoy the Dreamkeeper Garden. ShonBaker and Alice Glenn are co-chairs of this year’s event.
As in previous years, the event will feature gourmet food fromNew Orleans’ most celebrated restaurants, a silent auction and winesexclusively presented by Presqu’ile Winery of Santa Maria, California. The eveningwill also feature musical guests Seguenon Kone, The Breton Sound, and TubaSkinny.
Tickets and sponsorships are still available for AnEdible Evening, withindividual tickets priced at $45 until Tuesday, March 24th at 5 p.m.(thereafter, $60 at the door).  Eventsponsorships range from $1,500 to $15,000 and patron level sponsorships areavailable from  $125 to $1,000.

The proceeds raised from An Edible Evening will support more than 3,500 creativeand practical food and nutrition classes ESYNOLA offers to FirstLine studentseach year, and will increase food access through ESYNOLA’s schoolyard gardensand teaching kitchens for parents and families. ESYNOLA’s  innovative foodeducation classes aim to improve students’ food knowledge and influence theirchoices – which will have a profound impact on the quality of their lives fordecades to come.
