Most recent news: Westmarch is now a Kingdom!   Thanks to everyone who's
driven long distances and worked hard toward this goal

In local news...
We're going to bring out the materials in hopes that Saturday isn't too
windy to hold our little Archery tournament.  To win the donated recurve
bow you must be the highest placing entrant who does not already own a
bow.  Entrants will get 3-5 arrows (depending on how I feel at the moment)
and will call their shots at targets at varying ranges.  If you call a
target and hit a different target, your shot is considered a miss.  Each
target will be worth a separate amount of points.  In the event of a tie,
we will go to sudden death!  Where both entrants fight to the death with
live steel.

...Apparently, my Attorney-Imp has informed me that we cannot do that,
because it is "Illegal" or something.  Instead, we'll just have them each
shoot at a progressively harder target until one person hits and the other
misses.  Should this tie-breaker sudden death draw out too long, the
monarch reserves the right to strangle people with the bow string.

Oh, and we'll have a battlegame or two.

Also, I'm opening up declarations for Prime Minister.  We'll set mid-reign
at 9/7/13, so that means the actual vote will take place 8/31/13.

Per the new corpora:
2. The Prime Minister shall be elected one (1) week before mid-reign.
a. Any person wishing to run for Prime Minister must declare their
intentions publicly and in writing to the Guildmaster of Reeves at least
two (2) weeks prior to the elections.
b. Any person wishing to run for Prime Minister must have passed the most
recent Corpora Test.
3. The Prime Minister must have regular and reliable access to a computer
and the Internet.
4. They must establish and make public a reliable means of contact, such as
a forum topic at a Westmarch sponsored site, or an email address.
(Not listed here, but you also have to be dues paid)

As a reminder, declarants must declare publicly (at the park or on the SSD
forum of the Westmarch boards) and in writing to our GMR, Foremek.

I think that's about it.  Sorry for missing last week (funerals are a valid
excuse), so we'll just have to have twice as much fun to make up for it.
