[SSD Populace] Amtgard: April 13th, 2013

Hello again everyone! This Saturday we will be doing Amtgard as normal from
1-4 and I'll have loaners for anyone who needs them.


We're still asking for volunteers in the upcoming Cal Poly open house, and
we need people to volunteer to help us run our booth. It's the 20th of
April. So, that means you still have quite a bit of time to clear up your
schedule and be prepared to help out. If you have the time to help run the
booth please do so, as it is rather boring to sit there running it for the
whole club showcase which goes from 8am to 5pm. What's more than just
helping us alleviate the boredom of desk duty you'll also be helping us
bring in new players that we've been sorely lacking the past month or so.
For those willing to help I'm putting out an offer of double credits for
the day. Send me a message or tell me at the field if you're willing to
help.


Alright, so the declarations for the different positions are as follows:
Monarch from Baron Squire Deimos, Regent from Lady Faye and myself, and
Guildmaster of Reeves from Foremek. This Saturday all of the prospective
officers will be qualifying for office and we will do our votes for our
monarchy next week. The Corpora has the rules on what each position is
required to do as well as qualifying for office. This page has the current

This Saturday we will also have an althing to vote on Westmarch monarchy
and to approve a withdrawal of $400 from the Westmarch coffers to make a
meal at Darkshore. The people running for monarchy are as follows: Monarch
from Sir Euric Bloodstone, Regent from Dame Ailanthus, Champion from Colin
the Red, and GMR from Obay Songwright.


Here is what Baronettess Leah proposed for the meal: "Preliminary menu is
as follows (all of this is subject to change, mind, but this is what we
hope to serve):
Tri-tip or London Broil or some equivalent, based on price
Roasted veggies including potatoes, squash, onions, carrots, and perhaps
others based on price
Salad with dressing
Garlic bread and pesto bread (half will be of each)
Portabella mushrooms for vegetarian option
Lemonade and Iced Tea

The price of $400 is based on historical requests for feasts at End Reign.
Usually it's not all used, and we'll make sure we keep receipts so the
proper amount goes to the clan fund. We expect the event to stay about the
same as last year (or a bit bigger) so we're budgeting for 120-130 people,
and that's approximately $3/person (ok, not exactly; if you want exact
change you have to do the math!)."
