[SSD Populace] Amtgard: February 23rd, 2013

Hello again people! This week we will be doing Amtgard as normal from 1-4
this Saturday and I'll have loaners for anyone who needs them.

We're still asking for volunteers in the upcoming Cal Poly open house, and
we need people to volunteer to help us run our booth. It's the 20th of
April. So, that means you still have quite a bit of time to clear up your
schedule and be prepared to help out. If you have the time to help run the
booth please do so, as it is rather boring to sit there running it for the
whole club showcase which goes from 8am to 5pm. What's more than just
helping us alleviate the boredom of desk duty you'll also be helping us
bring in new players that we've been sorely lacking the past month or so.
For those willing to help I'm putting out an offer of double credits for
the day. Send me a message or tell me at the field if you're willing to
help.

We have our own midreign coming up this Saturday the 23rd. We'll be doing a
fighter tournament, so come on out and have some fun.

I apologize as I apparently misremembered the corpora in regards to a new
Prime Minister. The PM was supposed to be elected the week before Midreign,
whereas I thought it was supposed to be at midreign. We'll handle that this
weekend.

We will be doing fighter practice this week again from 3pm-4:30/5pm at Elm
St park, Arroyo Grande and I'll be out there with loaners for anyone who
needs them. Come out to the field if you can. If you can't get a ride, then
send me a message and I'll try to find you one.

Many of you have been asking for an A&S (Arts and Sciences) day, and we've
finally gotten around to it. We are in the process of reserving a room on
Cal Poly campus to do an A&S day soon. We don't have an exact day as of
yet, but it shouldn't be much more than a month out if it is even that
long. For those of you who don't know an A&S day is where we all meet up to
work on projects like new garb, weapons, etc... It is generally useful if
you need some pointers on making the equipment or just don't have the
sewing machine to make it. We will bring some equipment like sewing
machines, a couple of foam noodles for weapons, and a some spare material
we have lying around.
