Subject: Loyola Lecture on Latinas in the US Church, 7PM March 15

You are invited to a lecture by Natalia Imperatori-Lee on Latinas in the U.S. Catholic Church. This is the second in the series, and you must register for each lecture in the series. Click here for more information and to register.

Dr. Natalia Imperatori-Lee, a Professor of Religious Studies at Manhattan College, will deliver a lecture entitled "Encountering Our History, Shaping Our Future: Latinas and the Church in the United States." Her research is in Catholic theology, particularly the intersection of faith identity with feminist and Latinx Catholic thought. She is the author of Cuéntame: Narrative in the Ecclesial Present (Orbis Books, 2018). The lecture takes place on Zoom on March 15 at 7PM Central Time and is free and open to the public.
The three lectures in the series entitled "The Demands of Encounter Today" explore the demands of Pope Francis’s call to create a culture of encounter. The series is intended to draw out theology’s public implications and so inspire people to work for the transformation of Church and world with special attention to racial justice.
For more information and to register, please see our website. And help us spread the word.
