| Meeting on the Handling of Sexual Misconduct Incidences on College Campuses
The women of the Louisiana Legislature are seriously concerned and deeply troubled by the handling of sexual assault and sexual misconduct incidences on college campuses in Louisiana. Members of the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus, chaired by President Pro Tempore Beth Mizell, will be joining the meeting of the Senate Select Committee on Women and Children, chaired by Sen. Regina Barrow, on this upcoming Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Senate Committee Room A-B. The purpose of the meeting is to receive in-depth responses from all public university systems in Louisiana regarding the handling of sexual misconduct cases on their campuses and university policies governing such incidences. Testimonies will be received from more survivors in addition to information and recommendations from advocates and policy experts.
