ROSA FLORES DEE, WDSU ANCHOR
"WORKPLACE DO'S AND DON'T'S - YOUR IMAGE AS A LEADER"

The workplace can be a minefield for any professional woman. How do you fit into your workplace, adapt to the workplace environment, work successfully with your colleagues, and navigate the leadership track? Rosa will use her variety of career experiences to share important tips on strengthening your position as a leader - the skills you need, the pitfalls to avoid, how attire and attitude impact your image, and other tips to help maximize professional success!

After working in broadcasting and accounting in Houston and Oklahoma City, Rosa Flores joined WDSU in New Orleans.

LUNCHEON KEYNOTE SPEAKER
"NOLA" THE NEW ORLEANS GYPSY
"UP TO MY NECK IN ALLIGATORS"

In the swamps of Louisiana, we're surrounded by 'gators all the time. Most of the time it comes from conflict which occurs whenever people disagree over anything. When a conflict triggers strong feelings - we might feel like we're up to our necks in alligators. We've learned how to live with gators or difficult people and it's easier than you think. We'll take a humorous look at the alligators in our lives and six techniques to communicate effectively with those 'gators.' Nola, the mysterious New Orleans Gypsy, combines serious professional and personal development topics with an exciting N’awlins flair! Nola’s alter-ego is Dian Lusher, founder of DYNEL, Inc., a communications training company.

AFTERNOON KEYNOTE SPEAKER

MARGRETT BOLEY, MISSISSIPPI NATIONAL FOREST
"WOMEN IN NON-TRADITIONAL CAREERS"

What's it like to be a woman in a field traditionally held by men? Margrett Boley currently serves as Forest Supervisor of the 1.2 million acres of national forest land in Mississippi, comprising of six National Forests covering 32 counties. Ms. Boley served as Forest Supervisor for the Kisatchee National Forest in Louisiana, where she implemented the first regional Biomass Plant. This facility produced energy from wood chips, providing power and electricity to one forest district office, parking lot lighting, and other needs – a great example of reducing our environmental footprint. She holds a BS in Plant and Soil Science from Southern University in Louisiana, with post graduate work in forest soils at the University of Arizona, Tucson. She is originally from Winnsboro, LA.

The conference keynote sponsor is PRNCoach, a company which provides success and life coaching services, hosts monthly networking events, and creates educational workshops for professional and business women.
