Lest We Forget
March is Women's History Month and the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus would
like to know what woman made an impact on your life.  Who inspired you to become
 who you are today?  What woman challenged you to strive for higher heights academically,
overcome challenges and to be the best person you can be?  Who is she?  Please tell
us about her and how she impacted your life by emailing no more than two paragraphs
along with her photograph to llwc at legis.la.gov [mailto:llwc at legis.la.gov].   Use
 the subject line:  Women's History Month Presentation in your email.  Her story
 and photo may be selected to be featured on the Women's Caucus website later this
month in a presentation in honor of Women's History Month. The deadline to submit
material is Monday, March 19, 2012.

About Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus

The Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus is comprised of the women in the Louisiana
Legislature, whose collective mission is to: (1) prepare the next generation of 
women leaders and (2) serve as the premiere voice and leading monitor of issues,
 legislation and policies, which impact women. Since the election of the first woman
to the Louisiana Legislature in 1936, women elected to the legislature have increased
dramatically in strength and influence. There are presently 16 women who serve in
both the Louisiana Senate and the Louisiana House of Representatives combined.

About the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation

The Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation is a non-profit corporation 
with an IRS designation of 501(c)(3). It is administered by the Louisiana Legislative
Women's Caucus, which is comprised of women legislators currently serving in the
 Louisiana Legislature.  The Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation's mission
is to prepare and develop women leaders in Louisiana to be significant contributors
and achievers in society.
