We have recently learned that one of our member companies, Transformyx,
has communicated information to our membership, without our knowledge or
approval, suggesting that the LTC has inappropriately declined to
support its trade show, called TechX. Despite any suggestion or
insinuation to the contrary, the LTC was unable to support the TechX
effort simply because it had been scheduled simultaneously with another
trade show - BizTech. Transformyx was informed that the LTC had already
committed its support to BizTech. Nevertheless, we were unable to
persuade Transformyx to schedule their event on a date that would allow
the LTC to lend its support. Not only does the LTC not have the
resources to simultaneously support two such events, attempting to do so
would be inconsistent with our long-standing commitment to the BizTech
show. While it is unfortunate that Transformyx elected to insist on the
conflicting schedule, be assured that the LTC did everything in its
power to avoid this problem.
