southwest section annual holiday dinner


WITH SPECIAL GUEST STEPH DAVIS

Join the Southwest Section of the American Alpine Club for a very special evening of drinks, dinner, and fellowship during their Annual Holiday Dinner. Renowned climber, free soloist, and BASE jumper Steph Davis will be the guest of honor and will give a gripping slideshow on her experiences both on the rock, and then off of it. Additionally, the evening will feature raffles and silent auctions of top-end gear with proceeds going to support the American Alpine Club.
 
The event will start at 6:00 PM with a no-host cocktail hour. At 7:00 PM appetizers will be served, including Hummus, Labneh, Grape Leaves, Tabuli, Fattoush Salad, Falafel, Sambousek, and Basturma. The main course will come at 7:30 and will include Beef Kabobs, Marinated Chicken Kabobs, Kafka Kabobs, served over a bed of rice and sauteed vegetables.
 
Steph Davis’s slideshow will begin at 8:00 PM.

ABOUT STEPH:
Steph Davis in an American rock climber, BASE jumper and wingsuit flyer. She is one of the world’s leading female climbers, having completed some of the hardest routes in the world. She was the first woman to free solo a route of  grade 5.11 or harder, the first woman to summit all the peaks of the Fitzroy Range in Patagonia, the second woman to free climb Yosemite’s El Capitan in a day, the first woman to free climb Yosemite’s Salathe Wall on El Capitan, the first woman to free solo The Diamond on Longs Peak in Colorado, and the first woman to summit Torre Egger in Patagonia.
