CMC Canyoneering outing this Saturday!

Canyoneering: Supercloud Canyon     

 

Supercloud Canyon is an awesome sight from the Angeles Crest Highway.  Join
me to run this canyon which has 6 rappels, the longest being about 100 feet.
The canyon should be mainly dry unless we get some heavy rains beforehand.
A short car shuttle is required.  We will start off from the Mt.
Disappointment Fire Road trailhead just below San Gabriel Peak.  There is a
fairly steep drop in into the canyon about 45 minutes from the start. The
outing will take about 6 hours car to car. You should have solid rappelling
skills. You will need seat harness, helmet, descending device and some sort
of safety tether with a locking carabiner for clipping to the anchor where
necessary.  Driving directions to the meet up point (also the exit point
from the canyon) off of Angeles Crest Highway will be provided near the time
