CMC members - The following trips have recently been added to the schedule:

November 26th                                       Saturday                                                         Bailey Canyon
Here’s an opportunity to try some canyoneering.  Bailey Canyon is above Altadena in the San Gabriel Mountains and will afford about 12 rappels.  The hike to the drop in point is 2 miles on well maintained trail.   The rappels are between 25 and 90 feet with a short section of free rappel on one.  No prior canyoneering experience is necessary although you should have solid rappelling skills.  Harness, helmet and some sort of safety tether (to clip yourself to the anchor while rigging for rappel) are required and you might want gloves depending on your preference. You will get your feet wet so bring appropriate footwear.  The trailhead is atGrove Park and we will provide driving directions later on. January 14th - 16th                                Friday - Monday                                                     Red Rocks
Join us for a weekend of climbing sandstone in Red Rocks outside Las Vegas.  We have a campsite for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night which allows for 3 days of climbing if you have MLK day off - feel free to join us for any or all of the days.  Participants have the option to have climbing partners arranged in advance (see roster or contact the leaders if you need help lining up a partner).  Those without climbing partners arranged in advance can meet and climb as a group.  We plan to head to a location in the sun with something for everyone. February 18th -19th                                Saturday – Sunday                       Red Rock Canyon, Nevada
Moderate day-hiking from the Red Rock Summit trailhead to climb North Peak (7,047’) and other peaks in that area.  Contact leader at: terryjflood at gmail.com.
