Important Notice to CMC Members

 

CMC Proposed Bylaw Amendment to be voted upon at the General Meeting on
October 19, 2011.   Notice must be given 60 days prior to the meeting in
which the proposals will be voted.  The membership must adopt such changes
by majority vote of those attending the meeting.

 

The proposed amendment is to Section 4.04 of the By-Laws providing for how
notice of meetings is to be given to members.  The proposed amendment will
provide that notice may be given by email.

 

The change is to the first paragraph of Section 4.04 and would add a
sentence to the existing paragraph.  The existing paragraph reads:

 

"Written notice of every meeting of members shall be personally delivered or
mailed by first-class United States mail, postage prepaid, at least fifteen
(15) and not more than ninety (90) days before the date of the meeting to
each member who on the record date for notice of the meeting is entitled to
vote thereat."

 

The proposed amendment would add the following sentence to the above
paragraph:

"This provision may be satisfied by email communication."
