I have two programs that I'm looking at for a March 2009 trip to Sikkim. At
this time there are 4 committed to the trip and I am the only climber. I am
looking to get least 2 more climbers. This itinerary is not set in stone but
will give those interested a good idea of the trip. Also I have to select a
few hotels for our stay they will be added to the cost but are very
inexpensive.

Basically the cost per person as you see it for land is $57 a day for 3 to 5
for 19 days climb and trek. Or the short climb trip for 17 days 3 to 5
people $54 plus a few hotels and air. The trip would be about $3500 to
$4000. depending on air 

 

PROGRAM 01 : (FOR THOSE WHO WANTS TO LONGER TREK + CLIMB )

DAY 01 : Arrival in Bagdogra, transfer to darjeeling
DAY 02 : Darjeeling, sightseeing 
DAY 03 : Drive to Dhotre, trek to Tonglu
DAY 04 : Trek to Kalpokhari
DAY 05 : Trek to Sandakpur 
DAY 06 : Trek to Phalut
DAY 07 : Trek to Ramman
DAY 08 : Trek to Rimbick, drive to Darjeeling
DAY 09 : Drive to Yuksum
DAY 10 : Trek to Tsoka
DAY 11 : Trek to Dzongri
DAY 12 : Trek to Tsoka
DAY 13 : Trek to Chowrikang/Chogal BC
DAY 14 : Preparation for climbing/Rest day
DAY 15 : Trek to high camp
DAY 16 - 19: Climb Chogal Peak 
DAY 20 : Clear BC
DAY 21 : Trek out to Dzongri
DAY 22 : Trek to Bakkim/ (optional extension to Gochela)
DAY 23 : Trek to Yuksum
DAY 24 : Drive to Gangtok/Kalimpong/Darjeeling
DAY 25 : Transfer to Bagdogra airport

from Rimbick 
DAY 03 : Drive to Yuksum
DAY 04 : Trek to Tsoka
DAY 05 : Trek to Dzongri
DAY 06 : Trek to Tsoka
DAY 07 : Trek to Chowrikang/Chogal BC
DAY 08 : Preparation for climbing/Rest day
DAY 09 - 11: Climb Chogal Peak 
DAY 12 : Clear BC
DAY 13 : Trek out to Dzongri
DAY 14 : Trek to Bakkim/ (optional extension to Gochela)
DAY 15 : Trek to Yuksum
DAY 16 : Drive to Gangtok/Kalimpong/Darjeeling
DAY 17 : Transfer to Bagdogra airport

TREK & CLIMB RATE INCLUDES:

*	Experience Guide 
*	Trained cook, Kitchen boys & Support Sherpa 
*	Baggage allowance of 25 kg per person for trek and climb 
*	Yak/porter or carry expeditions supply 
*	All airport transport 
*	Private transport to and from trailhead 
*	All arrangements in the field, group gear and equipment 
*	Quality high altitude tents (North face/serra design) with foam
mattress (twin sharing) 
*	Group dinning tent with table and chairs 
*	Kitchen equipment, shower tents & toilet tent 
*	All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) 
*	Plenty of re-hydration drink like tang juice, soups etc. 
*	High food while climbing (mixture of soup, chocolate, dry fruit,
candies etc) 
*	Necessary climbing hardware gears like fixed rope, snow bars, rock
pittion, epi gas & epi stove etc. 
*	Comprehensive medial box 
*	Oxygen with mask set for medical purpose 
*	Loben Expeditions duffel bags, if require

NOT INCLUDED 

*	Hotel in Darjeeling, Gangtok or Kalimpong 
*	Peak permit 
*	Climbing Sherpa 
*	Cost of personal nature 
*	Curtailmnent or extension of trip due to unavoidable circumstances 
*	Tips to staff 
*	Emeregency evacuation 

NOTE: 

1.	We haven't included HOTEL in Darjeeling, Gangtok, Kalimpiong or else
where in case you need to alter the program. Please let me know the catagory
of hotel you wish to use in Darjeeling and other places. 
2.	PEAK PERMIT for chogal peak is USD 300 for 05 person. There might be
some change in permit fees and regulation by 2009 January, we will let you
know. 
3.	CLIMBING SHERPA - Rs. 8500 per sherpa (includes his daily wages,
food, transport & insurance)
