The Willow School and Gay Jones & Kuhn Feature Student Art at Art for Art’s Sake
New Orleans, LA — September 29, 2025 — The Willow School is proud to present 20 works from its Certificate of Artistry (CAVA) Visual Arts students as part of this year’s Art for Art’s Sake celebration on Magazine Street. On Saturday, October 4, from 6–9 PM, the Gay Jones & Kuhn office at 4719 Magazine Street, Suite A will be transformed into a gallery featuring the creativity and vision of Willow’s young artists.



Through the support of Gay Jones & Kuhn, whose New Orleans office is led by Willow parents Jason Elam and Lee Ziffer, the community is invited to experience the imagination and innovation of emerging artists while taking part in one of the city’s most vibrant cultural traditions.

The Certificate of Artistry (CAVA) in Visual Arts at Willow is a four-year program that challenges students to master drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture while developing a personal artistic voice. The twenty works in this exhibition represent the highest level of that training—art that demonstrates technical skill, the ability to respond to critique, and the courage to explore identity, culture, and contemporary questions. Together, they reflect the imagination, resilience, and innovation that define the CAVA Visual Arts experience at Willow.  



The works in this show reveal the range and depth of Willow’s CAVA Visual Arts students. From bold abstractions to finely detailed studies, each piece demonstrates mastery of technique while pushing into personal expression. Together, they capture themes of identity, resilience, and imagination, offering a glimpse into the next generation of New Orleans artists.
