The Warren Easton Charter High School Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony was held on

Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Xavier University of Louisiana Convocation Center. The celebration honored the achievements of graduating seniors in a memorable and inspiring event. The keynote address was delivered by The Honorable Dr. Juana Lombard, JD  who shared powerful words of encouragement and wisdom with the graduating class. Additional remarks were given by Olin Parker, District 3 School Board Member; Dr. Fatema Fulmore, NOLA Public Schools Superintendent; Floyd Miles Jr.  Chair of the Warren Easton Foundation Board; and Anthonise Reese, Vice President of the Warren Easton Alumni Association. Each speaker contributed heartfelt messages that honored the legacy of Warren Easton while inspiring students to step boldly into the next chapter of their lives.

 

Valedictorian - Tyrence Ahmad JonesTyrence Jones is the 2025 Valedictorian of Warren Easton Charter High School. He is a proud New Orleans native and a first-generation college student who believes in making the most of every opportunity. This fall he will attend LSU on a full-ride scholarship to study computer science. Beyond the books, he is a creative at heart who loves journaling, painting and finding new ways of expression. Tyrence said, “Everything I do is rooted in gratitude for the people who raised me the city that shaped me and the future I’m determined to help build.”

Salutatorian - Ambria M. Thomas
Ambria Thomas is the daughter of retired Chief Master Sergeant Dewayne Thomas and Alicia Thomas of New Orleans, Louisiana. She will attend Loyola University New Orleans, where she plans to major in political science with the goal of advancing to law school. A Hall of Fame Scholarship Recipient, Ambria is a member of the National Honor Society, the Advanced Placement Club, and co-founder of the Senior Committee. Her accomplishments include maintaining a 4.2 GPA throughout all four years of high school and completing over 90 hours of community service.
