International School of Louisiana (ISL) Hosts Open House and Campus Tours for Prospective Families


New Orleans, LA – The International School of Louisiana (ISL), a leader in French and Spanish language immersion education, invites prospective families to discover its unique learning environment through campus tours and a special Open House event. ISL welcomes all Louisiana residents to apply.


The Open House for prospective students will take place on Saturday, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. Families can attend either the St. Roch Campus (2518 Arts St., New Orleans), welcoming Kindergarten students for the 2025-26 school year in both French and Spanish immersion, or the Westbank Campus (502 Olivier St., Algiers Point), offering K-5 Spanish immersion. This event provides an opportunity for parents and students to learn about ISL’s innovative language immersion programs, tour facilities, and meet faculty.


In addition to the Open House, ISL offers campus tours during school hours. Prospective families are encouraged to observe classes and experience the vibrant immersion learning firsthand. ISL participates in the NOLA-PS Common Application Process (NCAP) via enrollnolaps.com. Round 1 of applications opens on November 4, 2024.


ISL’s language immersion program is open to incoming kindergarten and first-grade students with no prior language experience required. For students entering 2nd through 8th grade, a language proficiency assessment is necessary before acceptance. As one of the largest K-8 schools in New Orleans, ISL serves over 1,100 students across three campuses, providing a dynamic, multi-language education experience.


ISL is the only tuition-free, multi-language immersion school in the state, offering a globally minded curriculum that emphasizes international awareness, celebrates diversity, and fosters community responsibility.
