Lake Forest Charter School CEO Mardele Early announced the annual Cocktails and Blues Gala will be held October 19 at Messina’s at the Terminal, 6001 Stars and Stripes Blvd. Patron Party for sponsors begins at 6 p.m.; Gala at 7 p.m. 

Ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the state’s #1 Charter Elementary school, Lake Forest’s annual fundraiser is now seeking sponsors, with levels ranging from $25,000 to $2500. 

“Lake Forest Charter School is dedicated to the full development of all our K-8 grade students and preparing them for a lifetime of academic, athletic and cultural development,” said CEO Early. 

Lake Forest Charter School (LFC) is a leader in public education in Louisiana, Orleans Parish and the New Orleans East Community, selected in 2013 and 2021 as a National Blue Ribbon School and in 2009 and 2016 as a National Title I Distinguished School. CEO Early was also named by the U.S. Department of Education as the nation’s Terrel H. Bell Outstanding School Leader.
