The International High School of New Orleans (IHSNO) to Hold Community Resource Fair and Ribbon Cutting at New Campus on Saturday

IHSNO to hold free Community Resource Fair with local nonprofit partners, $10 boiled seafood plates, entertainment, snowballs, raffles, puppy adoptions and more!

The International High School of New Orleans (IHSNO)   will hold its First Annual Spring Community Resource Fair on Saturday, April 20, Noon - 4pm. at its new campus located at 2733 Esplanade Ave. A ribbon cutting will take place prior to the celebration at 12:00 noon. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

At the IHSNO Community Resource Fair, local nonprofit partners will be on hand with valuable community resource information. There will be  $10 boiled seafood plates, entertainment, snowballs, raffles and more!  In partnership with Unity New Orleans, anyone who brings a donation of gently used household items will receive a free giveaway from IHSNO. In addition, Red Rolling River Rescue will be on hand with adorable puppies for adoption.

The Ribbon Cutting event will feature: an IHSNO Jazz Band performance, and remarks from school founding board member Karen Dwyer and City Councilman Eugene Green. To honor IHSNO's global focus and cultural diversity, performances following the ceremony will include: the original Hispanic Heritage poem "Dream,”  a Vietnamese Fan dance, an original Black History spoken word, and a French musical selection.

"We are excited to christen our new campus and showcase our commitment to global education and cultural awareness," said Adierah Berger, CEO of IHSNO. "This ceremony represents a new chapter for our school as we continue to provide students with a world-class education."

IHSNO was the first high school in New Orleans to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), recognized globally for its ability to develop students' intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills. In 2023, IHSNO seniors collectively earned over $25 million in scholarship awards, demonstrating the school's dedication to academic excellence.
