SAVE THE DATE: Lake Forest Cocktails and Blues Gala Oct. 14
Lake Forest Charter School CEO Mardele Early announced the annual Cocktails and Blues Gala will be held October 14 at Messina’s at the Terminal, 6001 Stars and Stripes Blvd. Patron Party for sponsors begins at 6 p.m.; Gala at 7 p.m. Individual tickets are $75.

Ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the #1 Charter Elementary school in the state of Louisiana, Lake Forest will dedicate the proceeds from the annual fundraiser to the construction of a state-of-the-art Outdoor Recreation Complex, which would allow students to develop athletic as well as academic skills which could lead to college scholarships.

“Lake Forest Charter School is dedicated to the full development of all our K-8 grade students and preparing them for a lifetime of academic, athletic and cultural development,” said CEO Early. The complex will include sports such as lacrosse, tennis, swimming, golf, soccer, track and field, and other physical activities. 

Lake Forest Charter School (LFC) is a leader in public education in New Orleans and the East Community, selected in 2013 and 2021 as a National Blue Ribbon School and in 2009 and 2016 as a National Title I Distinguished School. CEO Early was also named by the U.S. Department of Education as the nation’s Terrel H. Bell Outstanding School Leader.
