New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (NOMMA) will be expanding its footprint at New Orleans Riverside at Federal City with the purchase of three parcels of land from the Algiers Development District (ADD) totaling over 10 acres, more than five acres of prime riverfront property, as well as a long-term lease of the former Fitness Center at Federal City. NOMMA will join leaders from ADD and the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission, who will be leasing the Fitness Center pool for public use, at a signing ceremony on Thursday, May 25th at 10 a.m. This purchase and lease agreement marks one of the largest expansions at New Orleans Riverside at Federal City. The property acquisition will allow NOMMA to begin a campus expansion project to grow its student enrollment and better support its cadet corps through enhanced academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs.
