CAMELLIA TO MARK RED BEANS MONTH AT NOMMA
WHEN:  MONDAY, March 20, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.    WHERE:  NOMMA Cafeteria, Federal City in AlgiersINFO: George Jacobs, NOMMA, gjacobs at nomma.net             Thanks to the recommendation of Councilman Freddie King, the New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy (NOMMA) High School staff and cadets in Federal City will receive a free Camellia Red Beans and Rice Lunch on Monday, March 20 to mark Red Bean Month.          “All cadets and faculty are excited to celebrate their love of Camellia Red Beans on the traditional Red Bean Day of Monday,” said Principal Alexis Long. The lunch will be served in the NOMMA cafeteria from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.          NOMMA is a top-rated 8-12 grade public school serving the entire metro area, where all cadets participate in JROTC. The school is located at 425 O’Bannon Street in Algiers.
