The International High School of New Orleans held its annual graduation ceremony at 10 am on Wednesday, May 24th, at the Frederick Sigur Civic Center in Chalmette, LA. Keynote speaker Davon Barbour, CEO and President of the New Orleans Downtown Development District joined Valedictorian Dennis "Maliq" Barnes and Salutatorian Thomas Crook, III, in presenting inspirational messages to the Senior Class. Congressman Troy Carter shared a video message that included well wishes for the Class of 2023. Finally, the ceremony was marked with a heartfelt reunion as Army Specialist Kevin Williams, Jr. who returned home from his deployment in Kuwait to present his daughter Kayla Williams with her diploma.
    Dennis "Maliq" Barnes -- IHSNO Class of 2023 Valedictorian Dennis "Maliq" Barnes. Barnes achieved a GPA of 4.98 and received national media attention and accolades for receiving more than $10 million in scholarships. He plans to attend Cornell University this fall. He served as Chief Executive President of IHSNO's Honor Societies and is a member of the Pho Kappa Honor Society, Quill & Scroll Honor Society, National Honor Society, National Beta Honors Society, and National English Honor Society. Barnes is the son of Dennis, Sr., and Reba Barnes.

Thomas William Crook III-IHSNO Class of 2023 Salutatorian Thomas Crook. Crook achieved a GPA of 4.25 and was inducted into the National Honor Society and Senior National Beta Honor Society. Crook is a participant at the Tulane Center for Autism, which has been instrumental in his high school success. He plans to attend Delgado Community College, majoring in Applied Science in Computer Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security. Thomas volunteers at a Spanish community church, enjoys collecting sports cards and coins, and is the son of Thomas and Sandra Crook.
