[CharterSchools] Councilmember King invites NOMMA Band to Nov. 17 meeting

Councilmember Freddie King III has invited cadets from the New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy Band to participate in the Thursday, Nov. 17 Council meeting, Council Chambers, City Hall, 1300 Perdido St.  28 members of the NOMMA Band will lead the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance and play the National Anthem at the start of the Nov. 17 meeting, approximately 10 a.m.   NOMMA, a top-rated 8-12 grade open admissions high school located in Federal City, is in Councilman King’s District C. The school’s leadership team includes Commandant, Colonel Chris Schlafer, USMC (retired) and Principal, Mrs. Alexis Long.
