| The Orleans Parish School Board Redistricting Process is inviting the public to learn more about OPSB redistricting by attending one of seven upcoming open houses scheduled to take place across the city. Citizens can view draft maps of new district boundaries and give their opinion. The open houses will be in-person and presentations will be live streamed online (use the links below or go to Zoom.com and join using the meeting ID and password).

Every 10 years, after the U.S. Census, the Orleans Parish School Board must re-draw the boundaries for the seven Board districts. The Board district boundaries must be balanced in population in accordance with local, state, and federal rules governing the redistricting process. Community involvement is a key part of this process.
To establish a fair and impartial process, the OPSB has contracted with FLO Analytics, an experienced team of demographers, subject matter experts, and Geographic Information System (GIS) professionals to review all available data and determine if OPSB district boundaries need to be changed and where any changes might occur.
Public input is vital to the redistricting process. Comments and questions will be collected during all open houses.
Anyone unable to attend an open house can view the presentation and submit comments, ideas, or questions via the Redistricting Engagement Portal found here.
In addition to taking comments, the Portal allows the public to view and reimagine current Board District maps. Project information will be updated regularly on the Portal.
