Hynes Charter Schools 70th Anniversary Luncheon to be held June 4 Hynes Charter Schools’ year-long celebration of its 70th Anniversary year will be recognized with a Birthday Luncheon on Saturday, June 4, 2022, 11:30 a.m. at Ralph’s on the Park, 900 City Park Ave. “The entire Hynes community is invited to attend,” said CEO Hynes Michelle Douglas. “We encourage alumni, former parents, teachers and staff, and all past and present Hynes stakeholders to join us.” The cost of the luncheon is $40. Tickets are available for purchase at www.hynesschool.com, inclusive of food and non-alcoholic beverages. Seating is limited so reservations are encouraged as soon as possible. “It’s time to celebrate this milestone as we continue to honor Edward Hynes Charter Schools and celebrate Hynes’s 70 years of being a leader in quality public education in Orleans Parish,” said CEO Douglas. Over the years, the high-performing Hynes network has expanded from one to three diverse, high-performing, state-of-the-art, open-admissions campuses in the lakefront and Gentilly areas of Orleans Parish: Hynes-Lakeview, Hynes-UNO and Hynes-Parkview. “Since 1952, a big part of Hynes’s success has been rooted in our community,” said Douglas. “We hope that our alumni and retired teachers will join us for a day filled with reminiscing and storytelling about the joy that a Hynes education has brought to so many in New Orleans for seven decades. Attendees will also hear about the future of Hynes.” Hynes will celebrate its 70th anniversary through December, 2022.
