What Our Teachers Say“As a long-serving employee of NOMMA, I feel that NOMMA consistently tries to create a firm, fair, and flexible environment for cadets. NOMMA provides high-quality education that enhances the cadets’ physical, social, and emotional needs for today's diverse society.”“I enjoy how many different kinds of cadets I have in my classes, how they come from all over our geographic region as well as from a variety of different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. This kind of real diversity reinforces lessons associated with contrasting views while also supporting ideals of common expectations for all cadets. I love how our school is very serious about our values, that the mission isn't just a bunch of platitudes from a brochure but rather something that is front and center in almost everything we do as a faculty when we collaborate. I love how cadets are challenged at NOMMA every single day, how expectations are earnestly attempted to be upheld, and the emphasis upon a team atmosphere among the teachers and to operate in a way that is solution oriented.”“NOMMA is special due to its unique Marine Corps JROTC focus, which is unlike that of any other school in the nation. In order to retain this character, however, the school requires cadets, faculty, staff and administrators who understand, embrace and reflect the naval core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, as well as the MCJROTC program mantra of creating pupils, who are respectful of the citizenship, ethics and leadership emphasized at the school. I enjoyed working here due to the tangible benefit of seeing students flourish and achieving an education that will set them up for success in life and help to break the cycles of trauma and poverty that historically beset young people and children growing up in this region. NOMMA also has a great sense of community, caring staff and leadership, who demonstrate a strong focus towards the professional development and growth of each employee.”Compensation and BenefitsBeginning at $110,000, starting salary will be determined based on prior experience and qualifications for the role.
