[CharterSchools] NOMMA Cadets Flying High for Multiple Reasons

NOMMA MARINES ARE SHOWING UP EVERYWHERE!
    THE FLY TEACHES LESSONS IN MANY WAYS TO NOMMA CADETS 
   New Orleans Marine and Military Academy (NOMMA) Cadets showed particular interest in a special performance of ‘The Fly’ at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center during Black History Month, not only because of the historical drama’s emphasis on the story of the Tuskegee Airmen squadron, who valiantly fought in World War II to keep America free while their own government denied them full citizenship, but also because of the starring role of their Marine Instructor Mike Smith, pictured here addressing the cadets, who played Captain O’Harly in the performance.       NOMMA TEAM PLACES THIRD AT JESUIT DRILL COMPETITION    NOMMA’S Marine Corps Junior ROTC participated in the Jesuit Drill competition. It’s Unarmed Drill Team placed third among 12 other competing teams and its Cadet Commander Cameron Kersey also won the Knockout Drill event as Best Drilled Cadet. The school also had Armed Drill and Color Guard teams that competed.
