The New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (NOMMA) to Conduct Flag Raising at the Rex Den Feb. 13

Who:  NOMMA Flag Detail and Color Guard
What:  The New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy will conduct a Flag Raising at the Rex Den.  This is a filmed event that will be televised on Mardi Gras with the Marine Forces Reserve Band playing the National Anthem via spliced video.  Both the US Flag and City of NOLA Flag will be raised. The Mayor will also provide a speech, in addition to members of Rex and Zulu via spliced video.  The Louisiana Philharmonic will also provide pre-recorded music. NOMMA is a recipient of a grant from the Pro Bono Publico organization for its high school programs of excellence.   

Where:   Rex Den, 2531 S Claiborne Ave, New Orleans, LA 70125
When: Saturday, February 13,  2021 from 0900 to 1100 am.  NOMMA cadets will be filmed first and then depart following the flag raising.  .
Uniform: Dress Blues with ribbons & black NOMMA Masks
