NEW ORLEANS CHARTER SCHOOLS HAVE TEACHER OPENINGS 
FOR SUMMER AND SCHOOL YEAR 2021-22  
Teachers can register, review charter school vacancies and/or post resumes NOW free online at: gnocollaborative.com              Certified teachers, degreed professionals working on certification, newly graduated education majors and instructional support professionals seeking employment in New Orleans area public charter schools have a second opportunity to apply now through a free Virtual Charter School Teacher Fair presented by the Greater New Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools on Saturday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Seeking to fill positions for the summer of 2021 and the coming school year, this event will be held virtually for 17 charter school organizations representing more than 30 public elementary and high schools located in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes, announced GNOCCS Director Ken Ducote. Interested teachers are encouraged to pre-register online now at www.gnocollaborative.com to participate and receive information and details about the fair as well as participating schools. “This is an extra virtual Teacher Fair session following up on the high demand experienced in March at our annual fair for all state charter schools,” said GNOCCS President Michelle Douglas.  “Full and part-time positions are available.” Interested candidates can post resumes now for charter school leaders to review on the GNOCCS website prior to the event. GNOCCS operates the first centralized website in Louisiana to facilitate the recruitment of quality teachers for charter schools. The main features of this effort are an on-going system of website-postings of applicant resumes and charter school available positions.  “Principals and administrators will share information about the benefits of working at their charter schools,” said Dr. Ducote. “Teachers and aspiring teachers should post their resumes, teaching certificates, references and any other relevant information for immediate consideration. Degreed professionals interested in obtaining teacher certification should also apply, as well as nurses, counselors, coaches and school administrators.”            The fair is sponsored by GNOCCS with support from the School Leadership Center (SLC) of Greater New Orleans.
