WE HAVE A WINNER!
   Lake Forest Charter Student grabs first place in school’s Spelling Bee; older students head to Dillard competition    
Elementary School Spelling Bee winner, Duy-Quat Truing (pictured), narrowly beat out second and third place winners Baolong Truong and Ava Noble-Brooks, as the top speller in Lake Forest’s Grades 1-3.   In the 4th-8th Grade Bee, the top 10 spellers will go on to represent the school at the Local Area Spelling Bee at Dillard University on March 14. These winners are: Micaiah Powell, Psalm McClellan, Angela Nguyen, Allen Powell, Ashanti Buckles, Joseph Luu, Blake Bennett, Rajae Allen, Madison Davis, and Jade Mason.    The Dillard competition is part of the National Spelling Bee.
