SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation GrantThese grants go to students, teachers, researchers, and others working at the grassroots level to preserve and protect the environment. Funds are available for conservation education, species research, habitat protection, and animal rescue and rehabilitation. Most grants range between $10,000 and $25,000. Grant applications received by November 30 are considered for support in the first two quarters of the following year. Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching ExcellenceThe award recognizes outstanding skilled trades educators and programs in public high schools in the United States. Three first-place prizes of $100,000 will be awarded, with $70,000 going to the public high school skilled trades program and $30,000 going to the individual skilled trades teacher or teacher teams behind the winning application. NAGT’s Outstanding Earth Science Teacher AwardsThese National Association of Geoscience Teachers awards are given for exceptional contributions to the stimulation of interest in the Earth sciences at the pre-college level. Any teacher or other K-12 educator who covers a significant amount of Earth science content with their students is eligible. Ten national finalists are selected, one from each NAGT regional section.
